Troy’s roots

Raised in Richmond, Virginia, Troy’s love for music started early—watching his father play acoustic guitar and getting lost in stacks of old 45s from artists like Kris Kristofferson and Jim Croce. That early influence shaped a sound rooted in storytelling, groove, and authenticity.

Troy’s Sound

Troy’s song list spans generations, from artists like The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, and the Grateful Dead to more modern acts like Nathaniel Rateliff, Citizen Cope, and even reimagined takes on unexpected artists like Taylor Swift. The result is a set that feels both familiar and fresh—something every audience can connect with.

Known for a vocal style reminiscent of Jerry Garcia and a distinctive guitar approach enhanced with subtle looping, Troy creates a full, dynamic sound as a solo performer.
